There’s something really special about watching a wedding day unfold with ease, no frantic rushing, no missed moments, just a natural flow from start to finish. At Jackson Manor Events, that kind of wedding day is possible, but it starts with one thing, a well-thought-out wedding day timeline! As a preferred vendor with this venue, I’ve seen firsthand how the right amount of photography coverage can completely transform your experience.
This blog is all about helping couples like you plan with intention. I’m walking you through real advice on choosing the right wedding day timeline, how it plays out at a venue like Jackson Manor Events, and why understanding the rhythm of the day is key to getting those meaningful, storytelling images you’ll treasure forever.
Let’s start here, Jackson Manor Events is stunning! With a classic-meets-romantic charm, this venue gives you everything: spacious getting-ready areas, outdoor ceremony spots, and a gorgeous reception space that’s both elegant and cozy. And the people who run Jackson Manor? Incredible! They genuinely care about making your day amazing and seamless, which makes it a dream to photograph weddings here.
As a preferred photographer for Jackson Manor Events, I know all the best nooks for portraits, how the light moves through the ceremony lawn, and when to grab you for those golden hour shots without missing any part of the celebration. I’m here not just to photograph your day, but to guide you through it!
The wedding day timeline is so much more than just a list of times on a sheet, it’s the rhythm of your entire experience. From the first time you put on your dress to the last dance surrounded by your people, every moment has the potential to be documented in a way that brings you right back to the feeling.
But here’s the thing: the length of photography coverage you book can shape what moments get documented, how relaxed the day feels, and how flexible we can be if the schedule shifts.
Let’s break down what you can expect from each photography package at Jackson Manor Events:
A 6-hour package can work beautifully if your wedding is very small, you’re skipping a lot of the traditional elements, or you’re okay with having only parts of the day documented. This might include:
But here’s the catch: 6 hours go fast! There’s little to no time for getting ready photos, or for documenting those candid behind-the-scenes moments that add so much heart to your gallery. I rarely recommend this unless you’re planning an intimate elopement-style event or prioritizing only a portion of the day.
This is the package most of my couples at Jackson Manor Events choose, and for good reason. You get a lot of coverage, from details to the send-off, but everything needs to be planned very intentionally. With 8 hours, your timeline might look like:
I recently photographed an 8-hour wedding day at Jackson Manor, where we started coverage with quick getting-ready shots and ended with their sparkler send-off. The gallery told a beautiful, full-day story, but it was tight. If anything had run behind, we might’ve lost time for portraits or candids. So while this package gives you a “full day” feel, it doesn’t leave much wiggle room.
If you want your wedding day to feel intentional, unrushed, and creatively captured from start to finish, this is your timeline!
A 10-hour package allows me to photograph:
And here’s the bonus: when couples book 10-hour coverage with me, I also include up to two hours of rehearsal dinner coverage. This is especially valuable if you have a lot of out-of-town guests or plan to give toasts and have intimate moments the night before.
The extra time on the wedding day also gives me the space to be creative. I can slow down, document more candid moments, and give your gallery the editorial, storytelling depth you deserve.
Here’s what I’ve learned from photographing weddings here:
If you’re booking the 8-hour package, I’ll help you plan the timeline in advance so we can prioritize what matters most! If you’re choosing 10 hours, we can truly document everything, even the moments you didn’t realize you’d want to remember.
Your wedding day timeline isn’t just about logistics. It’s about how you experience your wedding! Do you want to savor quiet moments getting ready with your best friends? Or do you want time to be with your guests during cocktail hour, rather than rushing to get all your portraits done in one stretch? Or maybe you want to be fully present and not rushed?
The timeline shapes all of that!
If you’re planning your wedding at Jackson Manor Events, I’d love to help you create a wedding day timeline that reflects your story. Whether you’re considering 8 hours or ready to dive into the full 10, I’ll guide you through what makes the most sense for your vision.
