Hi I'm Emily!
PNW & Travel wedding and family photographer, mom to three beautiful kiddos, and lover of great food! Here you’ll find wedding recaps, advice for a successful session, a little bit of fashion, and the occasional yummy food recipe. Feel free to dig in and get lost in the pretty pictures.

When you think of a luxury wedding, you might picture something huge, dramatic, or straight out of a Vogue magazine. But real luxury doesn’t come from the size or scale, it comes from intentional details! It’s about thoughtful design and creating something that feels both stylish and deeply personal!
That’s exactly what this Schiaparelli-inspired editorial brought to life. Created in collaboration with a team of incredible artists and featured on Green Wedding Shoes, this shoot was a love letter to high fashion and modern romance.
This gallery blends everything I love about luxury wedding photography; it was such a fun balance between cinematic storytelling and fashion-forward creativity. Inspired by Schiaparelli’s signature keyhole design, sculptural lines, and artistic surrealism, this celebration redefined what an “elevated” wedding can look like.

The design was full of balance, it was structured but still very natural! I loved that the earth tones, gold accents, and rich textures gave everything a grounded yet elevated look. It proved that a luxury wedding doesn’t have to be cold or formal; it can still feel warm and full of life. From the getting-ready moments to the ceremony, everything was so seamless, but classy and elevated, and it made the day so unique and special!
If you’re dreaming up your own wedding design, look beyond Pinterest and Instagram trends; instead, take inspiration from couture houses like Schiaparelli, modern architecture, or the way your favorite spaces or brands make you feel. Sometimes, a single shape or texture can spark your entire design direction!

When people hear editorial or luxury wedding photography, they sometimes assume it means posed or distant and emotionless, but that couldn’t be further from the truth!
My approach to luxury wedding photography is all about storytelling. I love to focus on the emotion behind the elegance and luxury, like the in-between moments, the textures, the light, and how everything fits together! When you capture the whole story, it changes the feeling of the wedding entirely. I’m not just capturing some bridal portraits and wedding photos. I’m capturing the getting-ready nervousness, the little fixes to the groom’s tux, the wave of emotions of family members when they feel how much the bride and groom have poured into their day. The emotions are the luxury, and when you pair that with stunning decor and unique touches, it brings the whole story to life in a classy and elevated way that you really can’t replicate!
For this shoot, that meant blending structure and spontaneity. While the design leaned editorial, the couple’s interactions kept it grounded. You’ll see moments of movement, laughter, stillness, and artful framing, all tied together through lighting and details.
Luxury doesn’t mean stiff; it means intentional. It’s about giving meaning to every part of the day, from the wardrobe to the way your story is captured, while also keeping it unique to you!
If Schiaparelli designed a wedding, this is what it would look like!
The styling team brought in sculptural florals and art-inspired textures to tie everything together. Both of the bride’s custom gowns featured structured shapes and statement accessories, which were timeless yet fashion-forward!

The tablescape design mimicked couture structure, too, with clean lines, lots of textures, and intentional asymmetry. The florals by A La Chloe were so amazing, the height, hand-dyed flowers and use of mushrooms and root vegetables really brought it all together so beautifully!
If you’re drawn to that editorial feel, look at fashion publications like Vogue Weddings or Harper’s Bazaar Weddings for inspiration. You don’t have to replicate runway trends, just adapt the energy and add sculptural candles or sleek, minimal tableware to elevate your design. A few small styling choices can transform your day from Pinterest-pretty to artfully designed.
Thankfully, you don’t have to have couture gowns or a European venue to create a luxury wedding! You just need intention. Here’s where to start:
This editorial is proof that high fashion and heart can absolutely coexist. You can have an elegant, artistic day that still feels completely yours!
Even with all the fashion and design inspiration, the most luxurious part of any wedding will always be the emotion behind it. That’s what I focus on in every gallery: the connection between two people, while using the luxury details to add super unique and intentional storytelling!
Luxury isn’t just what your day looks like. It’s how it feels when you look back at your photos years later, too! So if you’re dreaming of something timeless and full of luxury art, whether that’s a couture-inspired wedding or an intimate wedding, I’d love to help you bring it to life!
